GRINDCORE/SLUDGE FROM QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES

The band formed May 16,2008 when (guitarist) Dino and (drummer) Ian met at a local bar in Quezon city.they were watching underground gig organized by Sampcore and Flower Grave Collective when they decided to form a band. Starting from their own ideas the created 3 song which they recorded for the next 4 months. First track "Cossack" was inspired by "Cossack Vodka" when Ian & tan (vox) jams while drinking "Cossack vodka". next song "Enemy of the state" was Ian's idea of Politicians abusing their power to corrupt and make money by stealing from the people. it also topics about Police Brutality, Abusive Power of Authority, in general this kind of peoples are called "Enemy of the State". Bloody Weeds guitar riffs originally came from Dino's old band "The Masons". they came up with this groovy sounding guitar riffs when they changed some parts of it and they decided to keep it that way and make it a part for "Bloody Weed's" guitar riffs. Hi guys!  As you may know, I live in an Animal Rescue, My roommate mostly saves abused, sick, and elderly animals, nurse them back to health, or rehabilitate them from abuse and get them ready to be sweet loving friends for whomever has the heart to take them.  So there are lots of sweet angels to find homes for during this coming Fall and Winter seasons. 

All of the animals have their shots, are all fixed, and comes with their records and history. The adoption fee is reasonably priced at $50 and have the capabilities to send them anywhere in the states, whether by car travel, or airlines. 

There are a number of beautiful &affectionate felines.

And about 6 small breed dogs, and a black lab puppy who are looking to be your best friend&  also have a black and brown bunny.

Mission Statement

The Resistant Culture Pitbull Rescue Project is an attempt to reach out to our supporters in hopes that they'll open their arms and adopt pitbulls into their families.

Background

As a collective we've been working locally to rescue pitbulls since 2009. In honor of Pitbull Appreciation Day we've established a web portal to connect death row pitbulls with human companions in loving homes.

Pitbulls have been demonized for aggressive behavior, however it's the abusive and/or neglectful owners who are to blame.

From our experience spanning years of pitbull companionship, we believe that with abundant love and care, pitbulls can be some of the most gentle, loving, loyal dogs we've ever known.

Due to their unfair social stigma, pitbulls are the least likely to be adopted out of animal shelters. In Los Angeles alone hundreds are put to death every day.

This project is dedicated to our beloved, now deceased pitbull named Chee Since we rescued her from the Harbor Animal Shelter, she taught us the true nature of her breed and of its struggle to survive. Her untimely and tragic death has left a deep scar in our hearts. Her spirit is still with us, and she will live on through our music with her performance in our  Corruption video:

A.U.K : MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS

I'm so pleased to share the newest video from AUK's upcoming LP due out in September 2011 through Anti Society Records. I can't say how excited I am about it, they are one of the most unique and modern punk bands out today! AUK includes past members of Alternative - a mid 80's Anarcho band from the U.K. - which is also releasing an LP including demos also through Anti Society Records. I've included a preview of the artwork for that album. Enjoy!!

So if you've stumbled across this blog, or you're a return reader, you can obviously tell, I focus mainly on the DIY punk scene, so you won't get that shite like the latest Bad Religion sell out arena concerts, or Anarchist road show bands. So if you're cool with that, and share some of the values that our small underground scene has, check back sometime as I will be featuring some bands I think you might be into.

I don't know about you, but when I hear a current punk band that isn't your garden variety cliche ,- that actually has originality and depth, - I go pretty crazy over it, and obsessively abuse the play button. It's like I've won some punk lottery and the pay off is this amazing noise, but like the lottery, the odds are always against you, as our scene is so fuckin' small. These few I found recently, are really killer and one of them, I discovered off a compilation from Ungov Resistance. Enjoy!
